Common questions
How is my filing date calculated?
From the “Resident since” date on your green card: 5 years (or 3 years on the marriage path), minus the 90-day early filing window. The date moves later if you don’t yet have 913 days (548) in the U.S., if a long trip is still inside the statutory period, or if you moved to your state less than 3 months before.
Why do I see two dates?
You have a trip longer than 6 months. USCIS presumes it broke your continuous residence unless you show you kept your ties to the U.S. The first date assumes you can; the second assumes you can’t.
How do I import my I-94 history?
Open i94.cbp.dhs.gov, choose View Travel History, enter your passport details, copy the whole table and paste it in Trips → Import I-94. Check the result against your passport: CBP says the history can be incomplete.
I’m abroad right now. What should I do?
Tap “I’m leaving today” when you leave (or add the trip with “I’m still abroad”). The Home screen counts the days and shows the date to return by to stay under 6 months. With Pro you get alerts before the 6-month and 1-year marks.
I got a new phone. How do I get Pro back?
Sign in with the same Apple Account or Google account and tap Settings → Restore purchases.
How do I move my trips to a new phone?
Your data comes along with a normal device backup and restore. You can also use Settings → Export backup and Import backup.
